Solidarity Action with IAM Experis Video Game Workers

Join Experis video game workers this Tuesday, July 2, for a solidarity action outside Manpower Group in downtown Milwaukee. International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) union members who work at Experis Games Solutions, a part of Manpower Group, are holding a Solidarity Action to call on Manpower to reach a fair first contract.

In November 2023, Experis Game Solutions workers voted 35-4 to unionize with the IAM union to address multiple workplace issues. Their elected bargaining committee entered into negotiations in February of this year. Recently, workers have met headwinds in bargaining as management has made it clear that they view each of their employees as temporary.

IAM members at Experis Game Solutions are responsible for quality assurance and troubleshooting of newly developed video games. The video game industry is notorious for chronic, widespread workplace problems like low wages, employee burnout, and frequent layoffs. IAM workers at Experis are in a historic struggle to change this.

Experis workers are fighting for good jobs that don’t just disappear at the end of a developer’s contract and believe that Manpower has a responsibility to provide stable jobs that pay a living wage and help to sustain a vibrant Milwaukee community.

Union members have fought hard for what’s in our contracts. We’ve stood on picket lines, sat at bargaining tables, and we held firm together with our co-workers for fairness for our families and for our future.

Tonight, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will take to the debate stage to lay out their vision for America’s workers.

We’ll be following the CNN Debate tonight at 8 p.m. CT to see what the candidates’ policies and values mean for working people and our contracts.

One year ago, Wisconsin union members stood together to endorse President Biden for re-election because of his record of accomplishments for working people. Fifteen million new jobs. Historic investments in rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure. Saving our pensions. Bringing good manufacturing jobs back home. Our unions are on the line in this election—and so are union members’ hard-won contracts.
