Wisconsin workers who work at The Red Cross staffing blood drives and providing essential services for communities across the state, are currently negotiating for a fair union contract with wage increases that allow workers to see a long-term career at the Red Cross.
In negotiations, The Red Cross has said no to all wage proposals for workers and proposed wage schedules that will hurt newer, less senior employees the most. Quality wage schedules are essential to guarantee that workers are effectively trained at new jobs and remain in their position to improve over years of service.
The Red Cross has cut real wages and benefits dramatically in the past several years. As a result, it struggles to attract and retain skilled blood collection workers. Tell the Red Cross to agree on a fair contract with its employees.
