The Wisconsin AFL-CIO is proud to announce our endorsement of Mandela Barnes for U.S. Senate.
Wisconsin AFL-CIO President Stephanie Bloomingdale released the following statement announcing the labor federation’s endorsement:
“Mandela Barnes grew up in a proud union household. He understands the role unions play in building strong communities and providing families with opportunities to get ahead. As Wisconsin’s next U.S. Senator, Mandela will fight for policies that create good jobs, boost American manufacturing, and invest in Wisconsin’s working people. The Wisconsin State AFL-CIO is proud to support Mandela Barnes for U.S. Senate.”
This November, it’s time to send Ron Johnson into retirement. Vote Barnes in the fall primary on Tuesday, August 9 and the general election on November 8. Early voting is underway in the primary. Check with your municipal clerk for available early vote times and locations. Make a plan to vote and preview what is on your ballot at myvote.wi.gov.
Mandela Barnes will fight to advance workplaces by working to pass the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act. He believes in raising wages, creating safe workplaces, and advancing economic opportunity through strong union rights. Vote Mandela Barnes for U.S. Senate on August 9 and November 8.
