Working families have waited long enough for COVID-19 relief. Last week, the House passed President Biden's American Rescue Plan which delivers the covid relief our families need and deserve. It's time for the Senate to act.

The American Rescue Plan funds vaccinations and testing so we can contain COVID-19 and get our economy back on track. It delivers direct, immediate relief to families and communities who have been struggling through this pandemic over the past year.

 

This is a historic rescue package. It provides benefits and programs America’s families need including:

 

• Overdue support for our states, cities and towns so we can preserve critical public services.

• More money for COVID-19 testing, treatment and protective supplies.

• Funding to shore up multiemployer pension plans, protecting earned retirement benefits for millions of hard-working Americans.

• An 85 percent COBRA subsidy for unemployed workers who lost health care (the AFL-CIO is advocating for 100 percent).

• Renter and homeowner assistance.

• School funding for safe reopenings or remote learning.

• Paid sick and family and medical leave for more than 14 weeks.

• An increase in the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour.

 

More than 28 million Americans have contracted COVID-19 and over 500,000 have died already.

The American rescue plan is all we needed after facing the worst pandemic of Covid-19. I like the decision made to provide free vaccines, school funding for the safe reopening, or for providing E-Learning education. Most of the teachers and students still not properly aware of E-Learning, being a blogger I have written to aware them about online Education at https://elearningways.com/what-is-e-learning-why-does-it-matter-lets-explore/. I didn’t know before reading here that the rescue plans also include funding more money for the treatment and for the hard-working Americans, and the best is providing paid sick leave for 14 days. Vote YES and call your senators for its implementation.
