Dr. Jill Underly currently serves as the Superintendent of the Pecatonica School District, a rural school district about 40 miles southwest of Madison. She has worked for the Department of Public Instruction as an assistant manager, and has held a wide-range of roles in education including serving as an elementary school principal, academic advisor at UW-Madison, and high school and middle school social studies teacher as well as a softball coach.
Underly is pro-teacher, pro-kid, and pro-union. She will work to close racial and economic achievement gaps so all kids can succeed no matter their zip code.
Underly grew up in a union family. Her father was a second generation IBEW industrial electrician. Momentum for her campaign is building – Underly was recently endorsed by both the Wisconsin State Journal and the CapTimes!

Request your absentee ballot at myvote.wi.gov by 5:00 pm on April 1. Be sure to return your ballot so it is received by clerks no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, April 6. Early in-person voting is underway. Check with your municipal clerk for hours. Polls will be open 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 6 for the 2021 Spring Election.
