Tell Walmart to Keep LED Light Bulbs Made in the USA

Our union brothers and sisters with IUE-CWA Local 84704 in Bucyrus, Ohio are fighting to keep jobs and their plant’s LED light bulb line from being offshored to China. These union members work at GE-Savant Lighting, where they make LED light bulbs exclusively for Walmart. The lightbulbs are currently stamped "Made in the USA." This facility is one of the only residential lighting facilities left in the United States and we are working hard to keep it from shutting down.

Because Walmart has the power to demand that these bulbs remain Made in America, we are bringing the fight to Walmart with an IUE-CWA Worker Solidarity National Day of Action to Fight Plant Closures and Tell Walmart to Keep LED Light Bulbs Made in America.

Corporations like Walmart send jobs abroad to exploit workers with low pay, dangerous working conditions and low environmental standards. All the while our communities suffer and good American jobs disappear. Tell Walmart to live up to their claims that they are committed to supporting American manufacturing and reducing their carbon footprint.
