Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District is holding a special election on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 to replace former Congressman Sean Duffy who resigned his seat last fall. The seat has gone unfilled since his resignation.
Union member candidate Tricia Zunker (SAG-AFTRA) is running for Congress in CD 7 and has the proud support of the union men and women of the Wisconsin AFL-CIO. Zunker, who also is the daughter of a USW member, will stand up to protect union rights and work to ensure all people have good economic opportunities in Wisconsin.
Zunker’s opponent, Tom Tiffany, has a clear anti-union record. While in the legislature, Tom Tiffany voted to strip Wisconsin workers of our rights and freedoms by voting for Act 10 and so-called Right to Work. He supports the repeal of federal prevailing wage Davis Bacon laws which would lower wages for Wisconsin workers. His record shows he will not support or prioritize the rights and well-being of working people.
