Brothers and Sisters,
Our hearts are heavy with sorrow as we mourn the loss of our union brothers at Molson Coors Miller Brewery. Five workers were tragically killed in a horrific act of workplace violence in Milwaukee.
Our Fallen Brothers:
Jesus Valle Jr., 33, of Milwaukee. Member of Brewery Workers Local 9 UAW. A powerhouse operator with the brewery since 2014.
Gennady "Gene" Levshetz, 61, of Mequon. Member of Brewery Workers Local 9 UAW. A powerhouse operator with the brewery since 2008.
Trevor Wetselaar, 33, of Milwaukee. Member of Brewery Workers Local 9 UAW. A powerhouse operator with the brewery since 2018.
Dana Walk, 57, of Delafield. A 16-year member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local Lodge 66.
Dale Hudson, 60, of Waukesha, an electrician with the brewery since 2008. Member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 494.
Every working man and woman who gets up and goes to work each day has the right to come home to their loved ones safe and sound at the end of each and every shift. Tragedies like this are a fundamental violation of this most basic right. As a labor movement, we come together in solidarity to honor our fallen brothers and pledge to work to address the issues that contribute to acts of workplace violence.
