The Legislature’s Joint Finance Committee (JFC) wants to hear from you. The JFC has set a schedule for four public hearings in April to gather feedback from the people on Gov. Evers’ 2019-2021 budget proposal.
Attend a public hearing near you to voice your support for the Budget’s many policies that help lift up working families and strengthen worker rights. Budget items that are good for working people may not pass without your show of support.
Budget Hearing Schedule. Hearings Begin at 10:00 a.m.
Friday, April 5: Janesville, Pontiac Convention Center
Wednesday, April 10: Oak Creek, Oak Creek Community Center
Monday, April 15: River Falls, UW River Falls, University Center, Riverview Ballroom #260
Wednesday, April 24: Green Bay, UW Green Bay, University Union, Phoenix Rooms
JFC budget hearings are a vital way for citizens to participate directly in our democracy to ensure our budget works for working families. Politicians voting on the budget need to hear from you that you support repealing Right to Work, restoring Prevailing Wage, fixing our lead water lines, raising the minimum wage, funding our schools, expanding Medicaid and all of the positive proposals in the budget, many of which are outlined in our Wisconsin AFL-CIO Budget Breakdown.
Make your voice heard. Attend a JFC Budget Hearing near you. Together, let’s call for a budget that boost worker incomes, restores worker rights, and grows our middle class.
