Election Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 6. The race for Governor is neck and neck. We need all working families to get to the polls. We have the chance to make real change in Wisconsin by putting an end to Scott Walker’s union-busting administration, but we need your help.

Have you checked all the boxes of our Labor 2018 Voting Guide?

🔲      Lookup your polling location at: https://myvote.wi.gov

🔲     View your sample ballot.

🔲     View a list of union-approved candidates in your area.

🔲     Register at the polls on Election Day, if needed.

🔲      Bring your ID.

🔲     Check to see if friends, family or neighbors need help getting to the polls.

🔲       Schedule a time to vote and think through transportation. Polls are open between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Will you be walking, biking, busing or carpooling to the polls?

🔲       GO VOTE!

🔲     Report any problems at the polls to Election Protection at 1-866-OUR-VOTE.

🔲     Sign up for a shift with our Labor 2018 voter contact program. We will be contacting union voters right until polls close at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Union members have been talking to union members on front porches, in the workplace, over the phone and at the mail box about the importance of supporting political candidates who support our rights as working families. We need you to volunteer today and vote tomorrow. Now is the time to lace up your boots, make another phone call, call another friend, and get this done for working families on Tuesday!

My Union, My Vote

The Wisconsin Legislature is of huge importance to every working family in the state. Every state Assembly seat and half of all state Senate seats are up for election this Tuesday.

The Wisconsin AFL-CIO has done the research and endorsed candidates for the state legislature who will support the rights of workers.

• Restoring union rights & collective bargaining

• Making healthcare more affordable and keeping coverage for pre-existing conditions

Join AFSCME President Lee Saunders Sunday

Join the Wisconsin AFL-CIO and the Milwaukee Area Labor Council as we welcome AFSCME President Lee Saunders to Wisconsin for a special Get out the Vote member-to-member Labor 2018 election event!

Our collective action has created the energy needed to elect pro-worker candidates like Tony Evers for Governor, Mandela Barnes for Lieutenant Governor, Tammy Baldwin to the U.S. Senate and Josh Kaul for Attorney General.

Join us for our final blitz this weekend to get union members to the polls. Union issues are on the ballot and we need union members at the polls.

Dan Kohl for Congress

This Tuesday, November 6, we have the chance to build a better Wisconsin and elect a Congress person who will truly represent the people of the 6^th Congressional District.

Wisconsin AFL-CIO endorsed candidate Dan Kohl, is neck and neck with opponent Glenn Grothman. Dan Kohl is a third generation Wisconsinite. He is a father, husband, non-profit leader and former GM of the Bucks. He wants to take back politics from the extremists and represent all people in the district.

Dan Kohl will help working families and the middle class:

·         Protect and respect the freedom to collective bargaining

·         Make healthcare more affordable and keep coverage for pre-existing conditions

·         Support public schools and lower class sizes

The Wisconsin AFL-CIO has endorsed candidates for Congress who will protect union rights and collective bargaining, make healthcare more affordable and cover those with pre-existing conditions, support public schools and lower class sizes, fix roads and bridges and invest in infrastructure and Support Buy American and Buy Wisconsin legislation.

The candidates who have pledged to fight on behalf of working families are:

Mandela Barnes, our Next Lieutenant Governor

Mandela Barnes grew up in the labor movement with parents who are proud union members. Having grown up in a union home, Barnes understands the importance of having strong unions in order to sustain and grow Wisconsin’s middle class. He knows that when working people come together to negotiate as a team in the workplace, we all do better.

Mandela’s record for standing up for working people speaks for itself. In the Assembly, Barnes prioritized working class issues like creating family-sustaining jobs, investing in our neighborhood public schools and ensuring Wisconsin families can have affordable health care. When Scott Walker introduced Act 10, Rep. Barnes was at the Capitol on Day 1 standing side-by-side with working families fighting for our rights. During Right to Work, Rep. Barnes once again led the charge to protect collective bargaining rights for Wisconsin workers.

Mandela Barnes has a clear vision to help the people of Wisconsin. As Lieutenant Governor, he will work to ensure our economy is one where all people can get ahead and have equal access to economic opportunity.
