Don’t forget! Spring Elections are this Tuesday, April 4. Along with a statewide race for Superintendent of schools, there are hundreds of local races across the state. Polls will be open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, or you can early vote in person at your municipal clerk’s office before close of business on Friday, March 31.
The Wisconsin AFL-CIO has endorsed Tony Evers for Superintendent of Public Instruction.
You can find a list of union-approved candidates on the ballot all around the state here.
Tony Evers understands that each and every Wisconsin child deserves a quality, public education in a fully-funded school. If you’re concerned about the direction Betsy DeVos, who is President Trump’s pick for Education Secretary, will take our schools in, vote Tony Evers on April 4.
Local elections are essential to a strong and vibrant democracy. It is imperative to cast your vote and make your voice heard. The Wisconsin State AFL-CIO and local labor councils have met with candidates and only endorsed candidates who will fight for policies that support union rights, good jobs, fair wages and a healthy democracy.
