Workers and community members from across Wisconsin are gearing up to make their voices heard and participate in democracy this week at the Capitol in order to halt anti-worker Right to Work legislation.
Here’s a list of events:
10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 24: The Senate Labor Committee will hear public testimony from concerned citizens starting at 10:00 a.m. and lasting until testimony is finished. Please join by coming to Room to Be Announced to tell your elected officials how Right to Work will hurt your family, your business, your workplace and your community.
12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24: Rally on the State Street side of the Capitol. Testimony will continue against Right to Work during and after the rally.
12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 25: Rally on the State Street side of the Capitol in Madison.
Add your name to the petition to stand firm against Right to Work legislation in Wisconsin.
Our elected representatives need to hear that the public is against Right to Work legislation. Right to Work is wrong for all Wisconsin families. Right to work will not create jobs and will lower wages for all workers – making it harder for hard-working families to reach the American Dream.
Stand up for the middle class. Stand up against Right to Work. See you in Madison this week!
Right to work is wrong for Wisconsin, it will remove protections, people fought and died for. My sons didn't go to Iraq, to lose freedoms.
Strenghten our labor, don't diminish it.

My family has been strong believers in unions, all the way back to grandfather. My father was in a union and I was in a union also. It saddens me to think that after all the things my grandfather and father fought for, it will just be thrown away,by politicians who just don't care about the middle class.

My Auncle was a International brotherhood Union Rep for the Sulphite Pulp and Paper labor unions. He was one that negotiated contracts with the companies. Yes it was a big struggle lots of people lost their jobs because they went on strikes. The people demanded better pay raises better insur ance. What this is about is fairness! There are no way to arbitrate without a union. We have very educated people Steel Workers, Construction and they value the union. Wisconsin doesn't need the "Right to Work Bill " Wisconsin needs to appreciate our hard working citizens that are protected under Unions.

Act 10, Right To Work and others are no accident. They have intent and purpose. Unions and middle class Americans support the Democratic Party. By financially gutting the unions and the middle class, Republicans plan to strip Democrats of their funding and support and essentially make it impossible for democrats to compete in election and the democratic process. It's time turn the tables on the Republican Party. Wage counter warfare on their wealthy donors and do everything in our power till our last diying breath to completely defund Tea Party Republicans and their campaign donors. Fight fire with fire!
