Wisconsin Working Families Ready to Recall

Union families, students and community members are getting down to work and volunteering their time to talk with their fellow Wisconsinites about the June 5 recall election.

Working people are supporting:

•    Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett for Governor
•    Wisconsin Fire Fighter Mahlon Mitchell for Lieutenant Governor
•    Lori Compas for Senate District 13
•    John Lehman for Senate District 21
•    Kristen Dexter for Senate District 23
•    Donna Seidel for Senate District 29

All across the state door bells and phones are ringing with a friendly face or voice to talk about how we must recall Gov. Scott Walker and protect the middle class from his “divide and conquer” goals. 

Mark Bussian, a custodian at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, was volunteering for his second time at the Milwaukee Area Labor Council. 

“I’m out here to recall Scott Walker because he took away our collective bargaining rights.  It is clear that Gov. Walker is very much out for himself.  He does not care about the needs of the people of Wisconsin.”
