Solidarity Rallies All Across America in Every Town & Every City

This is our time! Now is your time. What will you do today to support workers' rights?

Here's what you can do:

1. Call one friend in a state outside of Wisconsin and ask them to set up a rally. In Ypsilanti, Michigan, Samantha posted on her Facebook page that tomorrow at 9am on the corner of Elm and Main we will meet to show our solidarity for the workers in Wisconsin. We know that their fight is our fight. That's why we need to act NOW!
2. Go make some signs. Here are some examples:        
   
   * (your town) Stands in Support of Workers' Rights
   * Governor Walker's Attacks on Unions is NOT the American Way
   * Unions Built the Middle Class
   * Stop the Attacks on Workers' Rights
   * This is How Democracy Works
   Or, be creative and make your own!
3. Call your local reporter. Tell them where you are going to be, what you're doing and why. Capture your action on video and post it on YouTube and please post it on the Wisconsin State AFL-CIO's Facebook page. 

Now is the time to take action. It is up to you! Make one call. Let's kick it up another notch and put the pedal to the metal! No rally is too small--whether you're 20 people or 100. We'll see you on the streets of your town!

Students, Parents, and Teachers Sing Tribute to the 14 Senators

Madison, Wisconsin. An ad hoc group of parents, kids, and teachers will be singing “14 Senators,” a new song composed by Madison, WI songwriter, Ken Lonnquist.

Where: The top of King Street.

When: Starting at 11:00am

Why: The group is singing to send a message of appreciation for the Senators who have had to exile themselves from their homes in order to save Wisconsin.

This will be a great audiovisual opportunity for the press.
