With the start of the New Year, it's time to take the fight for our jobs, wages and future to the Wisconsin State Legislature. You can help set the agenda for this important legislative session by signing our simple petition.

With your help we will deliver this strong, simple message to incoming legislators:
Wisconsin’s state laws must support good jobs with fair pay—not attack working people and their unions for political payback.
As newly elected leaders are sworn into office this week the State Legislature, both the Assembly and the Senate, will switch from a Democratic to Republican majority. This means that working families in Wisconsin are facing a new set of challenges and opportunities. We must work together to raise the voice of working people statewide.
On Monday, Scott Walker was sworn in as Wisconsin’s 45th Governor. During his campaign Walker promised to create 250,000 jobs during his first term. The Wisconsin State AFL-CIO intends to hold Governor Walker accountable for those promised jobs and to ensure that any new jobs include family supporting wages and benefits. (Our state starts with a substantially larger jobs deficit because of Governor Walker's rejection of federal funds for a high-speed passenger rail line that would have created thousands of jobs.)
In the coming days we will be launching “The Good Jobs for Wisconsin” campaign complete with a Jobs-o-Meter to cheer Governor Walker on towards our shared goal of job creation. Be sure to visit the "Wisconsin Jobs Watch" facebook page for updates.
