If case you missed the second Presidential debate which took place October 16 at Hofstra University in New York, here is a quick review of the vision the candidates laid out for the nation.
Jobs and Taxes - On taxes President Obama laid out a clear and progressive policy vision that protects working and middle class families by bringing their tax rates down and asks millionaires to pay a little bit more.
Mitt Romney's tax plan takes care of his millionaire buddies by keeping their tax rates low in the hopes that jobs will trickle down to people who work for a living. It is important to note that multi-millionaire Mitt Romney pays a lower tax rate than a teacher, nurse or any person in the middle class.
The trickle down policy has never worked. Under President Obama our nation has experienced 31 straight months of job growth and unemployment is under 8%. We cannot go back to the failed policies of the past, we need to keep moving forward with President Obama.
Women Issues- The first law Obama signed was the Lilly Ledbetter Act Fair Pay Act which calls for equal pay for women for equal work. Mitt Romney still has not taken a position on the Act. When asked his position earlier in the year a Romney spokesmen replied "we'll get back to you on that."
In one of the odder moments of the debate, Romney talked personally about having a “binder full of women” to hire from. He also noted that he is flexible with the work schedule of his female employees so that they can get home in time to make dinner.
Health Care – With Obama’s recently enacted Affordable Care Act millions of Americans will receive health benefits and insurance coverage for the first time. Mitt Romney wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, leaving many Americans unable to go to the doctor to seek proper treatment when they fall ill.
Outsourcing Our Jobs- Obama highlighting how his administration is getting tough on China and bringing our jobs back home through insourcing. Obama wants to end tax cuts for companies who ship our jobs overseas.
Mitt Romney made millions at Bain Capital by shuttering American factories and sending workers to the unemployment line in mass. Even now, he is benefiting from Bain Capital while Sensata workers at Freeport Illinois, a plant owned by Bain Capital, train their Chinese replacements and receive layoff notices.
Immigration - After talking about his positive record on immigration, including signing the DREAM Act into law, Obama drew a contrast reminding voters about Romney's extreme Tea Party immigration policies which include supporting the controversial Arizona Immigration Law and making life for immigrants so painful that they self deport.
Commander in Chief - During the discussion with Libya it was clear that there was only one Commander in Chief on stage and that was Barack Obama. Romney's moment will go down in the history as a clear moment when he lied to the public, was fact checked by the moderator Candy Crowley and the crowd cheered (despite agreeing to remain silent).

Nice! This post is really great.

I hope that Barack Obama's progressive policy toward taxation aids the middle class. In my personal opinion, this social class does the most for our country. The people who earn enough money to support 5 or 6 middle class families are the ones who should see the most taxation. I think this policy could really help with back taxes and overall the middle class.
