Remember people, it was a Democrat who gave away the bargaining rights of the Federal (Public) Unions.

I wish the AFL-CIO would stop calling me to participate in the protests, and that they would have a live person call me rather than an automated message. Not all union workers are happy to be part of the union. I'm not. All they have done for me is take my money and defend the lazy people I work with. Too bad they don't actually protect the hard-working middle class.

Dear cjsards, You might consider looking into some labor history. The majority of workers in the USA enjoy an eight hour work day, the five day workweek, workers' compensation when injured on the job and generally safe working conditions because of the work of unions. There will always be a few bad apples in every barrel; however, Governor Walker is clearly demonstrating that united we will survive (and protect one another) -- divided we will fall into the conditions typically seen in third world countries. Specifically look up the history of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire which occured 100 years ago in NYC. ksd

.what a joke calling the cowards who ran away
the fighting 14.. they suck like all the union
thugs do.. it's over for you freeloading bastards
so get use to it..

jackconn is clearly a self made man, who believes that everyone else is lazy and doesn't deserve to live in this world with him. It sounds like he would be better off on the border where he could take advantage of the immigrant workforce that can't say anything about their working conditions.
Listen buddy, this is America and we will join with our fellow citizens in a Union because corporations are attempting to control terrible politicians like Scott Walker. We have the right to join a Union because the U.S. Constitution gives us "the freedom of association."
You seem to have no idea about what makes America great. It's its people, not unthinking, uncaring control freaks like you, who want to take peoples' rights away. We will win! Unions will expand their membership and extremist politicians like Walker will disappear from our capitols because you and they have been exposed as the corporate followers that you are!

.hey Ricky, go lean on your shovel..

I can't believe people don't remember that America used to be a country of PRODUCERS, now we're a bunch of CONSUMERS! Why? Cause almost every corporation has taken our workforce overseas! This country was founded on Labor, and without it...look at where we are. Corporation greed is "WalMarting" this country. I'm sick of having to look for labels, hoping to see Made in the USA, instead I find, made in china, made in india, made in the phillipines...what gives people? So yeah I'm pissed that people are willing to even think about giving up their rights to a better living, just so Wisconsin can bust Unions! Give me a break...why not cut his office staff, or his salary, or the salaries of the top feeders...and leave the middle class and below alone!!!!!

"The principal feature of American libtardism is sanctimoniousness. By loudly denouncing all bad things–war and hunger and date rape–liberals testify to their own terrific goodness. More important, they promote themselves to membership in a self-selecting elite of those who care deeply about such things... It's a kind of natural aristocracy, and the wonderful thing about this aristocracy is that you don't have to be brave, smart, strong, or even lucky to join it, you just have to be libtard."

Where was Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid for the last 2 years when they, the Democrats controlled the House, the Senate and the Presidency and could have had any budget they wanted? The economy during this period of time was begging for a fix and yet they decided to place all their energy into the healthcare un-reform bill that has made matters worse. Now the Democrats want a budget passed while claiming that seniors will be eating dog food and everyone is going to starve if a budget isn't passed. http://chuckmeisterunleashed.blogspot.com/2011/03/government-shutdown.html
They are a complete joke! Barack Obama and his "Obama Doctrine" seems to be working just fine. http://therealrevo.com/blog/?p=42807
Next on the agenda will be the Democrats blaming the Republicans for the government shut down when they continue with their excessive spending of our grandkids future. The Chinese are laughing at us right about now. http://www.thetrumpet.com/?q=2460.1126.0.0

Union members who are protesting are now looking like scum to the rest of the United States. Keep it up with your trashing 14 year old kids and there won't any Unions left in the U.S.

I am all for workers rights and what not. But it seems like unions have gotten really greedy and corrupt in the past few decades. Instead of accepting very fair deals and concessions, they'd rather fight for less work hours, more time off, higher pay, etc. They should just be happy to have such high paying jobs for doing unskilled labor.
